To recognize and thank our top performing employees at Electric Conduit Construction, we have established annual employee awards in 5 categories:

• Rookie of the year
• Emerging Leader
• Mentorship
• Safety Excellence
• Employee of the Year.

Employees are nominated by management and voted on by their peers. The winners are recognized at our end of year safety meeting.

Rookie of the Year award- William Crumley and Bill Samansky

Bill and William have both recently joined ECC and have immediately excelled. They are engaged and eager to learn every day. They are willing to go the extra mile and they understand the importance of safety.

Emerging Leader Award- Matt Beal

Matt Beal has recently stepped into a leadership role for his crew, and he has made the most of his opportunity. Matt continues to put his safety and the safety of his crew first, each day.

Safety Excellence Award- Misty Villafania

Misty Villafania was voted the Safety Excellence award winner. She exemplifies what safety is all about. She is a crew leader for a splice crew, who frequently works in hazardous conditions. She sets an excellent example for her crew and truly is her brother’s keeper.

Mentorship Award-

Martin Olvera- Has been with ECC for 8 years and has been in the industry for over 2 decades. He shares his knowledge and expertise with the younger generation and is always willing to take the time to show them the right way to do things. He has become a go to guy for complicated or difficult scopes of work in both Aerial fiber placement and fiber work in manholes. ECC is lucky to have him.

Antonio Velez- Antonio is another very experienced and knowledgeable employee whose expertise in both fiber and electrical scopes of work make him a versatile asset to the company. Antonio is an excellent mentor and leads by example. He is an excellent communicator and takes the time to show others the right way to complete their tasks.

John Karm- John Karm is one of ECC’s longest tenured employees and has proven himself to be extremely versatile and learns and adapts to change very well. John is often given the greenest employees to work with because he is trusted to guide them and bring them along to be their safest and most productive. John’s experience has proven to be invaluable not only to ECC but to the younger employees who have leaned on him over the years.

Employee of the year- Sean Crossley

Sean embodies all the qualities that make a great leader. He leans on his extensive knowledge base and his critical thinking abilities are unmatched. Management regularly leans on him for safe and efficient execution of work. They engage with Sean and utilize his skills to develop construction plans and Sean consistently delivers when called upon. He also takes the time to mentor his crew members and allows them the space to learn while guiding them to ensure their safety and professional development. ECC is so fortunate to have Sean on our staff.
