Wounded Warriors Pheasant Hunt
November 11th is the day to remember veterans and the service they gave to our country. Some paid a terrible price. The Wounded Warriors Project is an organization devoted to helping our wounded vets. They organized a pheasant hunt at McCollum Lake Hunt Club in Northern Illinois. 15 wounded veterans arrived in the morning for a guided hunt. Electric Conduit Construction (ECC) was one of the sponsors. Loren Hamm, ECC foreman and avid outdoorsman was there, along with his Labrador Maggie, who is excellent at flushing birds.

The birds were feeding in the corn fields, the morning air was crisp, and the dogs were excited to get on the hunt. For the veterans this was an event that brought them enjoyment, and camaraderie.
Maggie is a well-trained bird dog. She works close to the hunters and her nose leads her to the birds. She did her job and flushed several pheasants much to the enjoyment of the vets.
At ECC we support veterans and especially the Wounded Warrior Project. We know these kinds of events bring a moment of joy into the lives of those who gave so much for us.
